What Is The Best Gym Equipments That Will Help You Build Muscle

Posted on 23 December 2009 by

There are many people who enjoy going to the gym to get their workout every week. However, more and more people are finding that they just do not have the time anymore. That is why more people are trying to find the best gym equipments to build muscle that they can use to set up a home gym.

When you are beginner or have been away from exercise for a while then you should wait on getting a home gym until you become more knowledgeable about the different types of gym equipment that is available.

Join a local gym to start your workout while you take the time to find someone that you can talk to about what you want to buy and what you do not want to buy. This is important to know before you buy anything.

When you are involved in weight training the one of the first thing that you will want to buy is a set of weights. You can get free weights cheap. A basic set of weights will consist of some small weights, 10 pounds (4.5 kg) and 20 pounds (9 kg) of hand held dumbbells. Plus a bar that has larger, exchangeable weights.

There will be a point that you will want to get a weight machine which will offer you the ability to work out a specific muscle group. The muscle groups I am talking about are the biceps, quadriceps and deltoids.

Another advantage of the machines is that they are safer than using free weights. Also when you want to work the muscle groups like the calves and hamstrings, this will be harder to do with free weights.

Then there are the stair steppers which are popular for people who are trying to find great gym equipments to build muscle. These are great for a cardiovascular workout with low joint impact while allowing you to build thighs and calves. Another popular piece of equipment that is popular for home gyms are the treadmills.

When you are trying to find any type of gym equipments to build muscle, you definitely want to educate yourself on them. This is very important if you are going to get the maximum effect from your home gym.

You will not regret taking the time you did if you want to build muscles effectively. So do not jump into your own home gym until you know what will work best to help you build muscles.

Kickboxing and Health

Posted on 23 December 2009 by

Kickboxing and Bodybuilding.

Personally, I believe this is the most awesome workout you can ask for in terms of having both a strong and lean body.

Let me explain why should you prefer a kickboxing package over a gym.

Kickboxing packages are actually more expensive, however I think its more than worth it provided:

1.) Nutrition counseling

2.) bodyweight exercises/ weight training

3.) Self Defence training

4.) Personal attention

it is much easier to walk on a machine treadmill, I mean its so obvious that kicking and punching makes your body use itself much more.

So the fat loss actually gets WAY faster.

and not just that, if you technically look at it:

treadmill, stationary bike and stepper exhaust you MORE because whether you are kicking or running on a balanced machine, you are putting efforts.

So ultimately you get exhausted LESS and burn MORE.

However, if you are into something which goes: ‘I want looks, fuck everything else’ then you should hire a personal trainer and go to a gym and regularly take supplements.

So how does it help someone obese or unfit enough to do pushups and squats?

Simple enough… start with what you can, like modified pushups, do simple leg raises with ankle weights and work with dumbbells first before going for weight training.

why?

gain strength and do the tough work.

And yes, if you ask the trainer about you being not able to do something, HE WILL OFFER AN ALTERNATIVE which will eventually make you capable enough for the hard things.

Secondly, pick a time in the morning for your batch, the weight related exercises will burn fat throughout the day.

And in about 3-4 months, your body will be conditioned and aware enough for basic self defence.

And if you work on the psychological aspects, girls will be prepared to defend against rape WITHIN A SINGLE SESSION.

Kickboxing for different age groups:

teens:
This will help increase height maybe 2-3 inches if you are very dedicated to kickboxing training.

You can get your six pack.

battle ready and a possible career in the field.

working class hero:

to see the great benefits of kickboxing, the first criteria in daily practice.

However, if you are burning the same time in the gym, I suggest you invest here instead,

the reasons being:

1.) because the gym cardio fails to complete utilize your body, it will not completely work your legs hence resulting into very less long term benefits in terms of having enough stamina to last throughout the day and the extra stamina once the day is over.

You need a strong body regardless of who you are and what you do.

2.) faster fat burning, I know its hard maintaining the sexy frame once you have to deal with work… so its worth the time and money put in it.

3.) Self Defence

Women:

1.) The constant kicking will give you a damn tight butt and shapely thighs

2.) SELF DEFENCE GUARANTEED!!!

3.) you can look hot, hit good, get more energy… I mean what else can you ask for?

Above 45:

Not Recommended.

Modifications:

Use every Sunday to recover. just stretch in the Sunday.

if you can, take a massage.

And yes, add salt to your bath daily (hot water). will help soothe anything that is sore.

Try stretching every now and then, does wonders in the long term

TV Exercise Equipment: The Quick Reviews

Posted on 23 December 2009 by

So we have all seen the “as seen on TV” exercise equipment. This is the exercise equipment you just cannot miss if you are watching TV at two in the morning. This is to say, all of these types of exercise equipment pieces have done an infomercial or two to get you to buy their product. This article goes over some of the different types of exercise equipment seen on TV and whether they are worth the infomercials that tout them.

One of the main things about “as seen in TV” exercise equipment, is that they are usually new and usually pretty innovative. Sometimes they can be too innovative but for the most part, as long as you have some space in your closet, these exercise machines typically do what they say they will do. Here are the quick low-downs on some of the more popular “as seen on TV” exercise equipment available today roughly organized by size:

– The Smaller TV Exercise Equipment:

Red Exerciser:

Consumer Report’s actually gave this exerciser a pretty good review. It certainly is innovative, and when it comes to working out the abdominal muscles for short periods of time, and apparently in a fairly easy way, this could be the way to go; especially if abs are your thing.

Air Climber:

This exerciser is an aerobic stepper that can be used to provide low-impact resistance. It is basically like a StairMaster without anything to hold onto (which could be good for the balance). The biggest complaint is that you get what you pay for. For $100 bucks it doesn’t seem to last more than a few months with intense workouts.

Bun and Thigh Rocker:

This exerciser will obviously work your buns and thighs and the reviews on this are pretty good. It is a little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for so this may be worth checking out.

Perfect Pushup:

This product is strictly for those that like doing push-ups and basically claims to help with the wrists. I have used this product and I like it. My wrists have never hurt in the slightest after use and the price is right.

– The Medium to Larger TV Exerciser Equipment:

Cableflex:

This exerciser is good for strengthening and toning and basically works like a cable system. It is very simple so it should stand the test of time and will help with muscle endurance. Don’t expect huge muscle gains however.

SoloFlex:

The Classic Soloflex is the one that comes with the bench, dip bar and push-up bar. You can perform leg extensions, leg curls, pull-up, military press, tricep-pushdowns and many others. If you are interested in an all around workout and have the space to store one of these exercisers, the SoloFlex might be the right choice for you.

Bowflex Home Gym:

This is another one of those home gym systems that attempts focuses on almost every type of workout you might want. However, some complain that the range of motion is not all that great.

Weider Crossbow:

This exerciser is an all in-one gym. Make sure you have the space and money, as it goes for about $499, however it may be the way to go if you like the Bowflex and Bandflex as this exerciser runs along the same theme. It has received good reviews.

– The TV Exercise Equipment Conclusion:

There are obviously a lot of TV exerciser equipment machines available today. The bottom line is that if you do the homework, and review as many of these products as you can, you should find your self with a great piece of home exercise equipment. Just check out the user reviews and never take the infomercials word for it. Good luck and good working out!

How to Lose Weight Exercising

Posted on 22 December 2009 by

Losing weight exercising is a proven way to shed those extra pounds. Here are five exercising tips.

1. Exercises at home. Being a member of a gym or having to go outside in the cold is not essential. There are so many weight loss exercise programs you can do at home. Put on your favorite music CD and dance around your front room! Or a more robust way is to purchased an aerobic DVD. There are hundreds on the market, do some research and choose one that will suit you.

2. Outdoor Exercise. Walking is a fantastic way to get great exercise and to burn off those calories. Walking will increase your fitness and speed up your heart rate, it is true, you always feel so good after a good walk.

3. Down The Gym. Your gym can provide all the exercise machines you could ever want. Cross trainers, steppers, running machines and bikes to mention some. Most gyms can be expensive, but I cannot stress more, use the instructors help and advice. Ask them how to lose weight exercising, they could put together a great exercise program for you.

4. How Long To Train. Keeping up regular weight loss exercise is a must. Work out a plan for yourself, so you find time to exercise. I would suggest three to five times a week, for around 30 to 60 minutes each time.

5. Using exercise for weight loss is a must. Having a structured weight loss program to follow is must also. But do not over do it especially if your body has not had much aerobic exercise recently. Try to let your body adjust, don’t push yourself too hard. Getting an weight loss exercise injury would not be part of your desired program!

Weight Loss Exercises -An Active Lifestyle May Be The Answer To Your Weight Issues!

Posted on 22 December 2009 by

All is not lost though and even when America has been labeled as the world’s fattest nation – thanks to easy and affordable fast-food options that drip oil to make for their tongue-tingling tastes that are often addictive, it is not out of the scope of healthy living for people who resort to proper dieting with a sensible approach to healthy cooking and eating. All that is required is a change in attitude so that a change in lifestyle can also be achieved; this is why one is advised to now look beyond the glitz and glamour of advertising and easy living and decrease dependency on machines or unhealthy living standards, including food and exercise habits so as to promote sensible dieting and fit living for a lifetime of good health.

Instead of living like caged animals confined to our boxes, what is required is out-of-the-box thinking to break away from conventional attitudes towards eating filling foods as we have none of the farming, fighting and physical labor inducing jobs of our ancestors as life as been made easy by machines and mechanized living – so we need less food, less calories and more healthy activities to keep the metabolism going. Once people understand this concept to healthy cooking and eating and also incorporate regular exercise into their diet plan, they will find that there is nothing much to the body beautiful that every one can aspire to if not side-tracked by new-age marketing mantras for fad-diets, pills and even soaps that advertisers are ready to offload on to the trusting public keen to shed those extra kilos, fast.

It pays to remember that if a weight loss technique promises rapid weight loss, it is bound to have an adverse effect such as rapid weight gain also, as binge eating, yo-yo dieting and loss of energy are all associated with any get-thin-fast scheme, which is a proven scientific fact revealed to us by research studies conducted on this topic.

We first need to analyze where the fault lies: sedentary lifestyles are a common problem that most overweight people find hard to accept, but if the only exercise you can think of when your daily regime is talked about is getting up from bed and making it to the loo/breakfast table, car and office chair routine and back to the couch and bed routine, then you need to do some serious thinking about your lifestyle.

Since working on the farm like your ancestors probably did, which equaled nearly 15 miles of jogging daily, is not likely to be your lot in the city, you need to incorporate this necessary physical activity into your daily routine so as to stay atop disease control and prevention, shed that excess baggage and keep it at bay with proven, scientific and healthful methods of dieting and exercise.

Consciously seek out health tips and apply these to see which works best for you i.e. combination of dieting and exercise, change in lifestyle patterns (eating less, working out more or with friends to stay motivated, walking the dog, watching telly while exercising on the stepper/exercise bike etc.) and being aware of what comprises a healthy diet for you, including calorie counting and switching to healthier cooking methods.

Exercising is an example of the most significant activities, you shouldn’t forget to include in your daily life. There are still those who take being physically fit onto another level. Yes, folks like these actually exist in real life and No, they do not only appear in flicks. These are folk who go through sophisticated measures of exercise, which need intense training, consistent practice, and never ending diligence.

How to fight the cellulite with sport and other solutions

Posted on 21 December 2009 by

There are always more women that turn to the scalpel for esthetic surgery operations, among these, beyond the famous surgery breast implants (breast augments or reduction) the most popular are those to reduce cellulite.

The cellulite is a very sensitive problem for many women, even the 40% of girls under 25 years admits to have this problem and it is precisely in these last few months that happened the boom of aesthetic interventions to reduce cellulite, especially slim women but that they also suffer from the orange peel skin. Cellulite is the main enemy for many women, especially because it is difficult to send it away. The boom of cosmetic interventions anti-cellulite, however, testifies that most women prefer this way rather than treat it with sport and physical activity.

Of course sport is much more tiring than going to the doctor, but the effect is much more durable and also has many positive benefits also for the whole body. To cure this annoying problem, especially now that summer is approaching, there are several workarounds. First of all, it is essential to do some physical activity in your free time. Certainly the duration activity (aerobic) is the best as it activates for a long time the cardiovascular and respiratory apparatus, facilitating the circulation in the involved muscle regions. It can be achieved using different means both at home, at the gym, or outdoors: race on land or on tapis roulant, stepper, bike or exercise bike, rowing machine, cross-country- skiing, swimming etc.. The means changes but not the methodology that should be applied. Obviously, the chosen means must priority mobilize the areas affected by cellulite.

There are then several steps to follow, avoiding smoking and alcohol, drink plenty of water low in sodium, contain the intake of flat, ingest a lot of fruits and vegetables, all this to make the skin more elastic. Also the massage, in a serious program to combat cellulite, has an important role, because it can improve the capillary microcirculation and the lymphatic drainage.

Even the use of electrostimulators can help to combat these annoying blemishes, these machines are now more modern, comfortable and functional, thanks to the use of ergonomics, which studies the integration of people and technology. This allows them creating more efficient and targeted electrostimulators to treat certain problems.

You can also take a bath (temperature 37° – 38° ) with a particular “recipe”: in the water you have to pour integral sea salt, rich in iodine. At the herbalist’s shop you have to buy 50 grams of horse chestnut bark, then prepare a decoction, filter it and pour it in the tub. The horse chestnut contains saponin and aescin elements that invigorate and protect capillaries. Stay in the bath 15 minutes. After this you should stay with the head over heels for another 15 minutes, to facilitate the circulation to the extremities. To drain the liquid and strengthen capillaries without lowering the pressure, there is an optimal infusion. You should prepare almost a liter to drink during the day. The ingredients are two spoon of birch, centella asiatica, dog-rose (all at the herbalist’s shop).

Then, in the market there is a wide range of creams which help to improve circulation and make skin more elastic. They should be applied after the bath with circular massaging for 5 minutes. Thus it stimulates the metabolism of fat cells making skin more toned.

Do Elliptical Trainers Help You Lose Weight?

Posted on 20 December 2009 by

Many people begin a fitness program to lose weight. Sure, they may add that they want to be healthier by lowering their blood pressure or dropping their cholesterol number, but the real incentive is to loose pounds and inches in order to look better. Nothing wrong with that at all!

So now that we’ve identified what our goal is from a fitness program the next question is: “what’s the best exercise for losing weight”?

The selection of exercises to choose from is staggering. Quite frankly, you can lose weight with any exercise that gets your heart rate into your fat-burning zone. You certainly don’t need to run Marathons to lose weight!

Click to Get New ACCELERATED Fat Burning System

Walking at a steady pace for 30-40 minutes four or more times a week can do the trick. The most important thing about any exercise program is to stick with it. You’re not going to get to your weight loss goal if you give up after just 2 weeks!

May I make a suggestion? If you don’t already have your mind set on an exercise that you’re excited about performing 4 or more times a week, then why not give an elliptical trainer a try?

Even if you’ve never tried an elliptical trainer, you’ve probably seen them in use at health clubs or even advertised on TV or in print ads. They look so smooth and effortless that you may ask: “can I lose weight using an elliptical trainer?” The answer is a resounding “Yes!”

Don’t let the smooth motion of elliptical trainers fool you – it’s definitely a great exercise to quickly get your heart rate up into your fat-burning zone and to keep it there throughout your training session.

Click to Get New ACCELERATED Fat Burning System

The low impact nature of elliptical trainers is great for reducing stress on your knees, ankles, hips, and lower back. At the same time, since it is a weight-bearing exercise – you are supporting your body with your legs – it can help build bone density thus staving off the debilitating effects of osteoporosis.

The benefits of elliptical machines give them an edge over most other training equipment including stationary bikes, rowing machines, steppers, and even treadmills.

The great secret about elliptical training is that the perceived exertion of the exercise is actually less than the calories burned on an elliptical trainer! You can burn the same number of calories in less time on an elliptical trainer than for example, a stationary bike. So instead of 30 minutes on the bike, how about 20 minutes on an elliptical trainer? Think about that for a minute and after it sinks in, the prospect of starting a weight loss program doesn’t seem so daunting!

Posted on 20 December 2009 by

For those of us who just don’t feel comfortable going to a gym where everyone is already too skinny and too good looking, we don’t have to worry any longer about getting in shape. The home workout industry has created several different versions of an old favorite â?? the exercise treadmill â?? so you can get the same great gym quality work out at home without worrying about all those people watching. The exercise treadmill has been around for a long time, and normally consists of a treadmill and stand, with controls for you to adjust where you would like your workout to be. But, those old boring machines are a thing of the past! Today’s exercise treadmills have so many features that you might not know which one’s you should get. So, here is a small list of some of the newest features to help you decide which ones you need, and which ones you don’t:

Inclined treadmill â?? Most exercise treadmills today have the option of an incline on the treadmill itself. You can adjust the height so that you can walk flat or at a steep incline to help burn more calories and fat. These inclines are great if you are just wanting to lose weight or if you are training for a marathon.

Dual treadmills â?? Some of the newer exercise treadmills offer a dual treadmill so you can use them as a stair-stepper to help you burn fat and increase muscle as you go. This is a great way to combine two machines into one, since you have a treadmill that you can walk and run on, as well as a stair machine to help with your thighs, buttocks, and hips.

Timers â?? Almost all of the newer exercise treadmills come with a timer now, so you can set your work out as long as you would like and don’t have to watch the clock or your watch to make sure that you have gone the right amount of time.

Custom workouts â?? Some of the newer exercise treadmills offer you a custom workout, where you can either choose one they have programmed in or create your own to offer you different resistances, inclines, or speeds to help you vary your workout.

Heart monitors â?? If you have a heart condition or simply like to monitor your heart rate while you are working out, you can opt for the heart monitor that comes on some of the newer exercise treadmills. These simple devices usually fit over your finger tip and will monitor your heart rate the whole time that you have it on or while you are working out.

These are just a few of the great new options that you can find on exercise treadmills today, so when you are looking for a new treadmill, you can check out all the options that are available on the model you like. From cup holders to automatic shut offs, you can find everything that you need and want on your new exercise treadmill.
